I'll be lovin' you right
This is Chi from Nikaneko,
I wanted to share something personal with you today.
This ring you see on the left? It’s not just a new product, it’s the very first design I created using a new technic to design - Procreate.
For a long time, I’ve been using computer to support my jewelry ideas.
Precise, practical, but also… a little too rigid.
I started feeling stuck, unable to express what I really wanted to say.
Around that time, I began a collaboration with the French artist @colombe.art_. ~>
Seeing her draw freely on the iPad, with every stroke full of emotion and soul, truly moved me.
She once said: “From an idea… to real life.”
Those words stuck with me.
That was the moment I made a decision, is to start learning Procreate. Not to become perfect, but to reconnect with the joy of creating.
So here I am, starting from zero, drawing with clumsy fingers and a hopeful heart. The very first design I made with Procreate is now a real piece of jewelry — from thought, to sketch, to something you can hold in your hands.
“From an idea… to real life.” Those words from Colombe stayed with me. They reminded me that even the smallest sketch can become something real, something you can touch. This journey from imagination to creation is what I hope to share with you, and I hope it inspires you too..
